My First Project with a Die-Cutting Machine
When I got my new machine, it was around the Christmas season. The software, brand, and machine were still fairly to me. I had heard about similar machines through different brands, but this was a brand-new experience. I found a design from the software and decided to try it as a Christmas gift topper. So I selected a few different colors of cardstock and followed the instruction in the software program. During that time, I was using construction paper since I had been doing scrapbooking. I also used construction paper in my early scrapbooking days since I was unsure if it would be a lasting turnout. When I discovered cardstock for crafting, it was so exciting for me…like getting a new toy. I was slowly transitioning to cardstock as I was improving my scrapbook skills. The machine cut out my pieces then it was time to layer and assemble it. I followed the images and instructions to layer the pieces. I used a glue stick (my adhesive toot at the time) and adhered the layers together. I finished it off by using it as a gift topper by tying some ribbon through it. It turned out as a simple but gift-giving project.
